Dick died in November after a short illness at the age of 70. He had been a member of SACR since 2002, having been taught to ring at Dunkeld by John Grainger. Although Dick will probably not be known to most SACR members as he very rarely attended SACR functions or rang at towers other than Dunkeld, he was a loyal and valued member of the Dunkeld band. A quarter peal in his memory was rung at Dunkeld and several past and present members of the band attended his funeral in Perth.
